| work. I've generally had good success with them but never used them on a brake system. Some folks have had issues with them leaking and in turn messing up the finish on alloy wheels. I still have an SB installed on my slave but can't say the same for the fitting in the engine bay. Noticed that in the warmer weather seems like heat from the engine bay caused it to leak a little bit. So that one was removed. For regular bleeding without SB's -- you just pump once with the valve open then tighten the valve before pulling up on the pedal. Idea is not to suck air back into the system. There are some other ways to do this - just Google How-To's for bleeding a brake system (same as clutch).
